Forthcoming events

The latest Newsletter has just been published - see below - which contains a taste of the some of the many events, activities and achievements from the first half term of this academic year.

The Saturday Music School continues this half term. This is proving very popular with children aged 4 - 16 with new members always welcome to drop in and have a taste of what is on offer. For more details see the tab at the bottom of this page.

At the start of this half term, the builders have started on site working on the new hall and reception area for the College. This is a £1.8 million project that will transform the College's appearance and performance and assembly space. It will form part of a wider refurbishment of the front of the site, with the current reception and hall being remodelled to accommodate more civilised dining and social arrangements for students.

Presentation Evening takes place on Monday 23rd November when we invite the 2009 leavers back to celebrate their individual and collective achievements. The event will again take place at Comberton Village College so that we can accommodate all students and their parents / guardians.

We are delighted that Anna Forester has kindly agreed to come back to Swavesey to present the prizes. Anna, a former student at Swavesey, was one of eight rookie filmmakers competing for a year's contract with the BBC's world-renowned Natural History Unit after being selected from 2,500 applicants. In September she was revealed as the winner of the BBC's Wildest Dreams television show after a two month intensive crash course in wildlife filming.
